Daily Dish: Homemade Spaghetti

Okay, easiest dish ever. I grew up on homemade spaghetti so it's always been my go-to comfort food. Or if we're starving, don't want to eat out, and need to whip up something quick, this is it. 

This is for you silly people who don't already have a spaghetti dish, and it's almost impossible to mess-up. I use the following ingredients: 

  1. Spaghetti noodles 
  2. 1 pound of beef (over 90% lean because I'm bougie)
  3. Spices: salt, ground pepper, nature's seasons, basil, oregano, garlic powder and onion powder
  4. Prego 'Smart Heart' (because I feel like it's healthy) TRADITIONAL sauce
  5. Olive Oil

First, splash some olive oil in the pan you use to cook your meat. I use olive oil when cooking any type of meat. Honestly, I use it no matter what I'm cooking, unless it's cereal. Season that meat UP with salt, pepper, and nature's seasons. Meanwhile, get your water boiling for the noodles. 

Once it's done, I drain the meat until most of the juices are out. If you're using a pound of meat, I recommend two cans of sauce. This really depends on your preference of sauciness. Next comes the basil, oregano, garlic, and onion powder. I do this by eye but a decent way to measure is to sprinkle each spice over until it covers the whole surface. Mix it up and BAM. Once your noodles are done, you know what to do. Voilà, magic.
