Bad & Bootie

Last weekend was so fun. The weather was perfect and I finally got to see my man after A MONTH.

It's a long story but Austin and I are back to doing long distance (I'm still in Charlotte). It's been tough with our travel schedules lately, but we finally got to see each other last weekend! So naturally, I asked him to shoot with me. :)

If there is one thing I could've crossed off my bucket list, it would've been seeing MJ live in concert. When I found this tee on Revolve, it was instantly in the bag. And the boots. Are these boots not killer?? They are part of Who What Wear's collection at Target. Yes, you read that right. I fell in love as soon as I saw them - I pulled a "I'll put them in the cart and debate while I do the rest of my shopping" knowing damn well I was going to end up buying them. You can never have too many black booties.

48 Hours in Vegas

This year has been nonstop!! And this month, I'm gone every single weekend. I'm not complaining though, because I'm going on some amazing trips and to places i've never been before.

My most recent trip was to a quaint little town in Nevada. Las Vegas, they call it. I was headed out for a girls weekend with my mom (who is the most bubbly, excitable person you'll ever meet) to see the queen herself, J.Lo. My mom has been talking about this trip for months and I was so excited to spend a weekend in Sin City with her. Since we only had a couple days, we had to make sure we crammed in as much as possible. And that we did.

If you're ever in need a Vegas checklist and cramped for time, I've put together a list of must-do's!

  1. Brunch it up. Apparently, Vegas is home to MANY hot brunch spots but we went full on fancy and booked a reservation at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. It's a little on the pricey side but the views by the window are well worth it.
  2. The Bellagio. If you haven't already watched the fountain show from the view at brunch, head to the Bellagio where the giant fountains turn on and do their routine to music every hour. Sometimes, they came on every half hour but it depended on the time of day. It's the most touristy place you can go, but so fun. Luxe shopping and giant gardens included.
  3. High Roller. Next, make your way to the world's tallest observation tower (I was shocked by this fact). You'll get a 360-degree view of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip.  The wheel takes thirty minutes to go around once and if you're feelin' rowdy, you can get on one with an open bar. Yes, we did.
  4. The Cosmopolitan. Because, obviously. If you're looking for a good place to eat for dinner, there are lots of options and the famous Marquee nightclub is also located here. No, I did not take my mother there.
  5. The Chandelier. This is inside the Cosmo, and it's the most gorgeous setup. It's exactly what it sounds like; a giant chandelier surrounding a two-story bar. Makes for nice, boujee pics.
  6. Eggslut. Again, also inside the Cosmo. I've been wanting to go to here for a while since I'm an egg aficionado. I ordered the standard egg and cheese sandy -- it comes with cage-free over medium egg, cheddar cheese and chipotle ketchup on a brioche bun. It. was. so. good.
  7. Go see J.Lo. Or any show, really. It's Vegas so naturally, everything is extra. The performances include insane production, way too many sequins and all the outfit changes you could imagine. She was ahhhhmazing.

We definitely killed it in the short amount of time we had, but I definitely want to go back for more. Viva Las Vegas, my friends.

What I Wore: Lady in Red

All of my college friends decided to get married this year, which means I get to see my best gals almost every month for another wedding festivity.

Needless to say, this summer has been nonstop for me. For the latest engagement party (love you, Meg & Nate!), I had to break out this new number from Band of Gypsies. I actually planned to wear this while in Spain, but didn't get the chance and I LOVE the fit. It's a lightweight wrap dress with a front tie closure. I feel like the real life dancing-lady-in-red emoji.

The necklace I'm wearing is Midori Linea. I'm super excited to be the newest brand ambassador for this line of jewelry. The line, which I'll post about soon, started with hand chains and evolved into necklaces, chokers and bracelets.

The one I'm wearing is the Arianna High Y necklace and the best part: you can get 20% with my code "somewearwild". Happy shopping!

Swimwear with a Cause

Today, I'm takin' ya across the world to learn about a swimwear line based out of South Africa - Bongani

If you know me, you know my passion lies in helping people and any company that gives back to the community is a winner in my book. Not only are the suits bomb, but the founder Madison has made a commitment to donate 10% of profits to United Through Sport in South Africa. The organization gives thousands of disadvantaged kids the chance to play and enjoy the sports they love (currently in Africa, South America and soon, Asia). One child will receive a clothing uniform for every swimsuit purchased.

The one I'm wearing is Nandi, which means "sweet" in Zulu. The top looks simple, but you can actually wear it three different ways!

Shop it, here.

Travel Diary: Nassau

I have a new favorite place and it's called Paradise Island.

I went to the Bahamas with Austin's family over the Fourth of July and it's the prettiest place I've ever been. The water is just like the pictures; clear, blue, and magical. The gorgeous sand is warm and golden and runs between your toes with each step!

He and his family are regulars in Nassau and know many of the ins and outs of what to do/where to eat/how to shop. Atlantis in itself is the definition of extra. Anything you might want, it's there. Casino, night club, designer shops, aquarium and my personal fav, NOBU. We hung by the pool, floated on the lazy river, and yes, rode every single slide. I've been watching those Atlantis commercials on TV since I was in middle school and was so excited that I finally got to live out that dream.

A major key moment: meeting DJ Khaled! If you keep up with his snaps (bless him), you know he's been in Nassau for what seems like eternity. He happened to be jet skiing on the same beach we were at, so naturally we had to get on the snap. I tried my best not to fan girl but I was fan girling. He was super nice and wanted us on his snaps just as much as we wanted him to hop on ours. He took pics with all of us before leaving the beach (check it below)! #grateful

If you've never been to the Bahamas, it's definitely something to check off the to-do list. And while there, be sure to try an *authentic* conch salad from just over the bridge. You won't regret it.

Spain Travel Essentials

If you've been following my blog since the beginning, you'll remember our trip to Italy last summer. Reminder of that adventure, here. That trip provided some of the inspiration needed to finally start my blog, and serves as a special reminder of how this all started. Well, this week I'm heading to SPAIN for the first time and I could not be more excited! We are spending a few days in Barcelona before heading off to an amazing villa in Costa Brava for the rest of the trip.

You know I had to get my wardrobe in order beforehand. I put together some of my newest essentials (and some not-so-essentials) to get me through the trip. If you're going to Spain, you need all the bright colors, flowy dresses, and poms you can get! I can't wait to share this adventure with you guys, from the touristy things we have planned to the amazing views from our pool. Stay tuned for excessive amounts of Insta posts, so be sure you're following me on @somewearwild!

Roped in Black Jumpsuit

Happy Memorial Day, babes! It's always nice to have a long weekend to relax (or turn up). We went back to Atlanta for a wedding of two very special friends, and I prolonged my birthday celebrations with family.

Today on the blog, Tobi strikes again. This is the jumpsuit of all jumpsuits. I love how form fitting it is and the lace-up sides give it an extra spice. It's perfect for brunch or a night out - I'm planning to wear it to a bachelorette party next weekend. The strings are adjustable as well.

The best part: it's on CRAZY sale right now. Just add it to the holiday weekend shopping list. Head to or buy it here

It's My Birthday Week!

I wish I could say I'm one of those people who don't get too hyped about another birthday. But let's not fool ourselves.

This year, I'm turning 26 (cringe) but another year older is another year wiser? Plus another year more FABULOUS. And the next couple weeks are going to be action packed! Actually, the rest of this year is action packed, but Wednesday is my official birthday and from there we head back to Atlanta for more wedding festivities.

You know I had to update my wardrobe with some new fits for all these special occasions. So, when Tobi reached out to do a collab I was super excited! I'm wearing Tobi from head to ankles;  Steve Madden on my feet

Let's start with the bodysuit: This one is an extra-small and I feel like I need to reference this because originally, I would've ordered a medium with my bust size. But the torso is longer so it makes up for that extra room. However, it's super comfy and I LOVE the open back. Definitely takes the cake for the business-in-the-front-party-in-the-back look.

These jogger pants are amazing, too. I've been searching for some that don't sag too low or make me look like I'm wearing a sack lunch. They fit perfectly in all the right places. I love pairing them with heels because it gives them a more feminine look. Both the bodysuit and pants together are under $80 and if you are a new shopper at, you'll get 50% off.

Last blog as a 25 year old, GASP!! Stay tuned for more goodies.

What I Wore: Mesh Bodysuit

Happy Sunday, loves!

May is finally here and naturally, I had to start off my birthday month with some new thangs. I have been searching for a mesh bodysuit for a while now, and managed to snag the perfect one from

The fit is great, and it pairs perfectly with ripped jeans or a skirt. It's super breathable as well. Shop it, here

P.S. If you haven't shopped at Tobi before, they offer 50% off for new customers. Just in case you need more of a reason to shop.

Giveaway Time with JORD

How is May almost here already?! It’s jammed packed with weddings, my birthday celebration (ayy) and of course, Mother’s Day.

My mom is one of the most important people in my life (as I’m sure is the case with many of you reading this). She’s seen the good and bad, supports all my crazy dreams and is the go-to person for any life question or advice. With Mother's Day coming up, it’s the perfect time to set you guys up with a little giveaway in case you're in need of gift ideas.

Welcome JORD wood watches. Fun fact: JORD is pronounced YODE. Don’t go around sounding like I did at first. When I first checked out the brand, I was drawn to the design and the fact that they are real wood, hand-crafted Swiss watches, each with a super unique look. They have both men and women styles, and the price is juuuuust right. JORD has a dope product, but the brand is also authentic which I love. I'm pictured wearing the Dark Sandalwood & Emerald combo from the Frankie series. All of their watches are far from basic but this one stood out and is unlike anything I own. Plus, I have a thing for emerald.

Now for the fun part! I'm so excited to have partnered with JORD to give one of you a chance to win a $100 gift card toward any watch. All you have to do is fill out this form to enter. One lucky person will win, but everyone who enters will receive a consolation code worth $50. So it’s really a win-win! Whether you're looking for mom this Mother's Day, or you’re in of need a new time piece, I gotcha covered. Check out their site and let me know your favorites!

Good luck!!
